Senior Front-end Engineer

This individual will play an important role in the design and implementation of front-end user interfaces in multiple web-based products and systems at TRIPFIDDLE. This is an exciting role that will use the latest technology and design patterns and allow substantial opportunity for growth.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • 3+ years’ experience in web front-end development, building large web sites with CSS, writing HTML, cross browser development
  • 1+ years’ experience with design patterns
  • Proven record of developing functional prototypes using HTML, CSS, & Object-Oriented JavaScript to demonstrate creative concepts
  • Experience collaborating with product managers, designers, and application engineers to refine and improve the complete user experience
  • Solid understanding of web, usability, and accessibility standards
  • 3+ years’ experience in the following:
    1. jQuery, Responsive design
  • 1+ years’ experience in many of the following:

    1. JSON, Unit testing of front-end code, Popular frameworks, Git-based version control systems, Agile methodology, Continuous Integration and Deployment, Server-side languages

User Experience Owner

This position plays a role in the development of compelling online user experiences across multiple platforms to engage users and drive business results. Works with internal and external resources to integrate innovative user experience design with TripFiddle’s technology while balancing company goals and objectives with product usability.

Skills & Requirements
  • Partner with creative, digital, and marketing colleagues to understand business needs and design appropriate research studies to generate focused insights.
  • Develop UX documentation to bring team and stockholders on the same page
  • Design and conduct user research studies, including but not limited to surveys, competitive research, object-based techniques, persona(s), use cases, scenarios, user journeys, and design specifications taking into account behaviors, needs, abilities, circumstances, and contexts.
  • Perform rapid prototyping to validate the business and customer goals, usability, and feasibility of a new digital product idea in collaboration with the creative team.
  • Drive low-middle fidelity wireframes based upon user data, research, best practices and consumer needs for a given capability and persona(s)
  • Validate design by participating in user testing and iterates or pivots based upon the user test results.
  • Partner with UX manager, strategist, analyst, visual designer, copywriter and front-end developer to present ideas and concepts to senior management.
  • Conducts market and user research, identifies industry and emerging trends and makes recommendations for forward-looking new products and features.
Qualifications
  • You must love traveling for sure!
  • A Degree in Psychology, Human Factors, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction or equivalent experience is required.
  • 2+ years of experience designing effective user interfaces for web applications is required.
  • Strong team orientation with ability to work as part of a web design team with client stakeholders, marketing and technical personnel.
  • Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Open to constructive design criticism, participatory design, and design thinking activities.
  • Proficient with user interface design patterns, user-centered design process, user experience principles and standards.
  • Advanced working knowledge of rapid prototyping tools e.g., Axure, OmniGraffle, Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Portfolio showing UX design skills is a must.

Strategy & Marketing

TripFiddle’s Marketing team is looking for a Strategy & Marketing role who will report to the Sales and Business Lead, based in ShenZhen, China. This person will be responsible for developing strategic plans and executing, implementing and tracking marketing programs to drive profitable growth and support multi-market projects and teams across the region. The role will work collaboratively with, and influence cross functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop business and brand strategies and resulting plans that communicate a compelling value proposition for current and prospective users in collaboration with marketing leadership, regional business partners and Marketing Managers/Specialists.
  • Develop and execute highly effective integrated brand marketing campaigns across the region, ensuring all marketing activities feel local and personal and enacting world-class creative excellence.
  • Manage creative and other agency partners, ensuring optimal resourcing, timely briefings, contracts, payments and a deep understanding of the brand and business opportunities, challenges and plans.
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual planning and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Passion for all travel things. Experience FIT is a huge plus.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience at media, marketing agencies or client-side marketing.
  • Experience building a brand’s integrated marketing presence with an exciting portfolio of past campaigns/content/creative projects – across digital marketing, experiential, offline marketing, partnerships and sponsorships – that set the benchmark for creative excellence.
  • Strong budget and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills; able to articulate a vision, strategy, idea and decisions clearly and succinctly.
  • The ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and internationally.
